Summer Publishing Institute

Attending the New York University Summer Publishing Institute was an amazing and immerisive six week graduate-level intensive. We spent the first three weeks of the program studying magazine publishing and the second three weeks learning about the book industry. Each day we spent about 8 hours in classes and seminars learning from industry professionals who took time out of their (incredibly) busy days to come talk to us about everything from budget proposals and profit and loss sheets to advertisement placement and cover design.
